For this project it is important that my time management is kept in check in order to stop me slipping behind deadlines and getting caught up in work. In order to do this I’ve created multiple resources I can look back on which can remind me what tasks I need to complete and what times have been allocated for each task

To begin with I drew out a spider diagram which helped me link tasks to one another whilst also helping me generate new ideas for the project. Once I had completed it I was able to visualise the project as a whole which helped me later decide which tasks I needed to prioritise.

I then moved on to making a Gantt chart for the planning process of the project which really aided my time management throughout the project plan. I was able to split the tasks into manageable chunks and know exactly when each part should be completed in order to meet the deadline. In hindsight I should’ve taken the dependencies into more account as it meant I wasn’t able to begin a new task until I finished first one.

Once I’ve completed the planning stage for my project I can move onto designing the physical prototypes.

Task Breakdown:

– Learn how to use 360° cameras in order to create my trail tour.
– Take pictures and stitch them together to create a dynamic and interactive experience.
– Upload the background to blender and animate my animal characters on top of it
– Use the characters to create a storyline for the user as they navigate the virtual tour
– Use VR headsets to create 3D art elements within the environment that the user can walk past
– Create effective sound design to be overlayed to enhance the immersion

– Design a website for the nature reserve where users can further learn about the protected species/book guided tours
– Include interactive elements on the website that targets the younger generation
– Have links to certain social media
– Design an Instagram, Facebook and TikTok page

– Using the brand identity create merchandise prototypes that can be bought from the reserves gift shop
– Create animated showcases of the merchandise using blender

Finally I made a Trello Board for the Project which I will continue to use into my project development to keep up to date with what needs to be done and what I’ve already completed.
