Web Based Advert/Infographic
For my web based infographic set in an imaginary music club or night venue I decided to focus mine on the music side by centering it around a karaoke bar/club as this theme allowed me to bring in lots of varying elements that could tie into the final animation as I could add interactions that relate to the Karaoke as well as little graphics I included. Initially the theme was going to be based on a regular English pub, however I changed this as in execution as it seemed slightly too generic and didn’t offer as many things to write about.
Branding
For this brand I wanted it to lean on the more feminine/girly side as a lot of Karaoke bars I’ve researched were very heavy on a bright, neon aesthetic, so I wanted to create a place that felt slightly less intense to create a calmer and more safe feeling environment that people can still go to to have fun.
I chose a pink and green colour palette as they are complimentary colours which paired nicely with the softer ambience I wanted to create. They also could have connotations of summer due to the resemblance of watermelon so it could be viewed as a fun summer activity that differs from other bars that are much darker/dingy in appearance.

I chose the name Karaoke Klub for the brand as it’s simple and straight the point so consumers know what they’re expecting when they hear about it, but also has a slight change in spelling to give it a more unique and quirky feel to it that could help further branding opportunities as both words start with the same letter.
I also tried to pair the name with a conceptual graphic to create the logo with the ‘K’ In Karaoke also being used as the tonearm for a record player to show the viewer it’s supposed to look like a vinyl. I did this as I wanted their to be hints of 60s/70s design within the animation to also add retro elements to the brand.

For the information cards that I used in the interactions I opted for the same green and pink colour way to fit the background of the scene and picked prominent objects within the frame that potential visitors might want to learn about. I furthered the nostalgic aesthetic of the place by making jukeboxes a selling point as most brands that offer similar experiences wouldn’t include it. I also used neon borders around the cards to relate the flashing lights on the jukebox.

Intended Audience
Through the use of colours and selling points within the venue I think it’d most accurately target a female demographic from between 16-30 due to the overall look and what it has to offer. I believe the jukebox would entice younger teenagers who are interested in the concept but also older people who feel nostalgia from seeing them being used.
Final Animated Infographic
In the final animation I used an illustrative style to display the venue. I opened it with a view outside the club which transitions to the inside where the interactions can be found. I also tried to create unique smaller animations happening in the background with the spotlights rotating around, the jukebox flashing on and off and the logo spinning around to further the idea of it being a record player.
From this exercise I learnt how to use varying features offered in Adobe Animate and furthered my understanding of relating a branding concept into a physical project.
