3D Modelling

For the 3D models I designed for the brand I tried to replicate the ornate style of packaging I used on the boxes within the products themselves to try and create a cohesive brand story whilst also choosing appropriate items to design them on. For the first initial ideas of what products I should model I landed on 2 different styles of lamps and mirrors as well as a chandelier. However after trying to 3D model a chandelier I realised how time consuming it would be to make and how difficult it’d be to look legitimate. I instead decided to heavily simplify that concept to just a lightbulb as that product would still be useful to the consumers of the brand and it would fit more easily into my animated advert.

For the lamps I chose 2 different designs: one with a more detailed lampshade and another with a simple cylandrical shape. I added tassels onto both of the shades to further the victorian aesthetic as well as to tie into the lamp rope used to turn it off and on. I continued the ornate design on the base of the lamp but instead of it being used on a typical porcelain material it’d be on a highly reflective metal.

Here I modelled a collection of lightbulbs that can be used to light the lamps.

As my initial idea was to create mirrors I still wanted to tie them into the brand so I made 2 handheld mirrors with the same edge detailing that can be seen the box design. I also wanted one of the mirrors to be in a diamond shape so it’d tie into the Stone Glow logo which is surrounded by a diamond.
