Goal Idenitifcation

Broad Goals

SMART GOALS

Specific:

– Teach young adults/students on the use of mixed media in graphic design
– Display how more modern/digital mediums in graphic design can be used in conjunction with traditional mediums to create effective artwork
– How modern technology helps unite the 2 subjects within graphic design and can create interesting art
– Integrate UI features successfully that relate to the topic and create a more interactive experience for the user

Measurable:

– I’ll know I’ve successfully done this after testing it on the target audience multiple times and measuring what they had learnt whilst looking through the website
– Extra coding/widgets which are added work successfully and help to tell a story through the scrollig page

Attainable:

– I will accomplish these goals by doing specific research on both digital and traditional artwork and how they’ve both been incorporated together in the past
– I will research different UI elements that can be used in elementor and use them in my own scrolling webpage
– I’ll create my own graphics using software which will be used as a part of the user experience
 

Relevant:

– These goals will meet my short term needs as I will research effectively what is needed to make a fun user experience, redesign older graphic work in modern ways and write supporting text which explains my reasoning
– They will also meet my long term goals of being able to educate people in  a similar field to me as well as provide insight on the history of design

Timely:

– These goals will be accomplished by the 5th of May, once I finish the design and UX components of the scrolling webpage and test it on people of a similar age and interest group.

UI & UX Specific Goals

1. Creating a user interface which is both visually pleasing and easy to use without confusing the user

 

2. Is easy enough for someone to use and navigate successfully around the page

 

3. Tells a story as you navigate around it

 

4. Make sure the design is aesthetically pleasing

 

5. Make the separate components relate to the information that’s being told
