I decided to go with a simple logo that didn’t have too much going on as the main focus of the website is the content rather than the logo, however I still wanted the logo to represent what the webpage will be about. I chose the name “Design Progression” as the whole theme of the webpage is how design has evolved over time as well as how techniques and mediums that are used to create art has transitioned as well. Behind the text I’ve drawn a paint stroke that transitions from what looks to be a brush stroke made real life paint into a more digital paint stroke to represent how both of the art mediums can be used in conjunction with one another. I also chose the background colours to be in similar shade range to that of the overall house style so it looks more cohesive. For the typography I chose two contrasting fonts; one of which is a font which looks more hand-drawn and the other a bold sans-serif font to further show the disparity between the styles and how they can be used together effectively in a modern context.
