Editorial Information Pages
Magazine spread – Artist promotion (1):
For my first information page I designed a double page spread promoting two of the headliners who would perform at the festival. For this design I wanted focus a lot on the composition of the different elements in order for both of the pages to look meaningful together, both with similar colour palate and imagery but in a different layout to create interest. On both sides I’ve used my own images of various artists with images of their performances surrounding them so people who want to see them can easily look through them and sense what it’d be like to go to the festival. For the artists names that are positioned near the bottom I’ve designed them in a similar style to the main logo in order to create a recognizable house style that reinforces the concept of the letters phasing out of the backgrounds. For the colour palate I’ve used a collection of light pastel colours which are popular colours within the Korean media and their aesthetics so therefore it should be able to target the fans well.

Magazine spread – Artist promotion (2):
For my second Magazine double spread I’ve designed a promotion poster for the 3rd artist that’s headlining with this one focusing more on the fans of the artist that have attended previous concerts in an attempt to create a community/fandom for these people and feel more inclined to go so they don’t feel left out. Due to the imagery that comes to mind when thinking of the name “neon hearts” I’ve also drawn a hand making a heart shape with a neon glow surrounding it to be used as a part of their branding. I’ve also included the moon phase imagery as it can represent the cycle of constant change and how in the recent decade Korean influences have become more popular in western media, including their music which has helped others learn about different cultures and embrace different music styles by being able to bring them together. As well as this moon symbolism in Korean history and dramas have shown to imply something eventful will take place, i.e. a music festival allowing listeners who don’t live in Korea the opportunity to enjoy their music as well as this the moon is also a popular image used for the aesthetics in artsy media. In Korean folklore the moon can also symbolise prosperity and good fortune which would be one of the core beliefs of the festival as these artist may be able to inspire and encourage their fans. Compared to some of the other editorial pages this design uses slightly more red tones than the otherwise pastel colour palate as this page is more designated to the group itself and their branding than the festival.

Ticket Design:
For the ticket design I wanted to create something that the fans would want to keep to collect after the event rather than throw away and so for this I hand-drew outlines of the performers with a picture of the festival as a background in order for it to look appealing to a target audience of K-POP who are known for collecting albums, merch, photocards etc. In order to make this easier to collect for the fans I’ve drawn a dotted line along the side of the ticket so whoever owns it can have the option to remove the part with all the information if they wanted to. As the background image consisted of shades of mostly pinks and purples, I wanted to continue using those colours in the text and borders within the ticket to make it look more coherent

Website + Mobile Homepage:
As most people use the internet a lot to learn about events in this modern era I decided that a website would be appropriate to help navigate through any questions people have as well as a central hub to buy tickets, learn about the festival etc. As the layout of a website homepage is important I included a navigation bar at the top of the page, followed by the main image of the arena with the logo and slogan. The hashtag, music for everyone relates to the community that is created between Korean idols and western fans through the music, showing that where you are from shouldn’t impact the enjoyment people have listening to their music. The page also feature various other photos of the festival using a similar colour palate that is used throughout the campaign to reinforce brand identity. The slogan “Bringing Korean artists TO YOU” tells the target audience what their aims are and advertises it towards them with extra emphasis on the “to you” as it is capitalised in a different colour to the rest.
